Well, let me tell you, if you’re lookin’ to make yourself a real tasty dinner, this Chicken Alfredo with some jar sauce will do the trick! Now, I ain’t talkin’ about no fancy stuff, just the simple stuff that gets the job done, ya know? You don’t gotta be a chef, just follow along and you’ll have yourself a dish that’ll make everyone at the table smile.
First thing’s first, ya gotta get yourself some chicken. Now, you can use any kinda chicken you want, but I like to use the chicken breast. Just take it and cut it up into bite-sized pieces, easy peasy. Season it however you like, but a little salt and pepper always does the job, don’t it?
Next, heat up your skillet with a bit of olive oil. Now, don’t go puttin’ in too much oil, just enough to cover the bottom, like when you’re fryin’ up some bacon. Once that’s hot, throw your chicken in there. Let it cook until it’s all nice and golden brown, and don’t forget to flip it now and then so it cooks on both sides. This usually takes about 8 to 10 minutes, depending on how big your pieces are. When it’s done, take it outta the skillet and set it aside. You’ll need that chicken later!
Now, while that chicken’s cookin’, go ahead and get your pasta ready. I like to use fettuccine for this, but any pasta you got around will do the job just fine. Boil some water, add a pinch of salt, and throw the pasta in there. Let it cook up, but don’t let it get too soft, ya want it to still have a little bite to it. Once it’s done, drain it, but save a cup or so of that pasta water, trust me, you’ll need it later.
Now, the real magic happens with the Classico Alfredo sauce in a jar. Yep, you heard me right, just grab a jar of that stuff from the store, and it’ll save ya a lot of time. Pour that sauce into the same skillet you cooked the chicken in, and warm it up over medium heat. Oh, and don’t forget that pasta water you saved—add a little bit of that to the sauce. Why, you ask? Well, that starchy water helps the sauce stick to the pasta real good, and it’ll make the sauce creamy too.
Once the sauce is heated through, throw that chicken back in the skillet. Give it a good stir, makin’ sure the chicken gets all coated up in that creamy sauce. Then, add your cooked pasta right into that skillet. Don’t be shy now, get all the pasta in there. Stir everything around real good so that pasta’s covered in that sauce, and let it cook for another minute or two so the pasta can soak up all the flavors.
If you like your Alfredo to be extra creamy, go ahead and add a little more of that pasta water. It’ll loosen things up a bit and make the sauce just that perfect consistency. I like mine a bit thicker, but it’s up to you!
Once it’s all mixed up and lookin’ good, you’re about done! I like to sprinkle a bit of grated parmesan cheese on top just to make it look fancy, even though we ain’t fancy around here, are we? And a few cracks of black pepper on top, just to finish it off. Now, all that’s left to do is grab yourself a plate, serve up a nice big portion, and enjoy the creamy goodness you just made!
So there you have it, folks. A simple and tasty Chicken Alfredo using jar sauce. It don’t take no fancy ingredients, just a little time and love. And trust me, you’ll have yourself a meal that’ll fill you up and leave you smilin’.
